During the holidays, seeing a brand offer a promotional code in your newsfeed is no surprise. However, when Forever 21 teamed up with Chirpify, the goal was to make an automatic and seamless process for both the user and the brand. Rather than tweeting code among thousands of others in hopes people will see and use it, Forever 21 wanted a more amplified and immediate reaction to their discount offer.
Forever 21 ran a #Gimme promotion through Twitter, giving people access to a 10% promotion on their website using #actiontags. All the user had to do was retweet the original post containing #Gimme & #ForeverHoliday. This organically resulted in the amplification of the promotion through feeds without a media buy (users had to retweet to receive code).
When the user retweeted the post, Chirpify’s platform automatically messaged each consumer with the promo codes while also collecting all the consumer data. Because of this simple user flow and Chirpify’s mobile optimized platform, users were able to receive and use the promo code quickly and straight from their mobile devices.
Allowing users to receive products, discounts or exclusive content through the channels that they are already active in using #actiontags increases conversion and engagement, which is a win-win for the user and the brand.
