Each spring Gartner names the coolest vendors in the industry, highlighting those companies it feels has strong market vision and offer unique and innovative products with the potential for real market impact. The 2016 Cool Vendors in Social Marketing have one thing in common: they all help marketers move beyond simple audience building and sharing, helping brands capitalize on more sophisticated uses of social media to impact business. Chirpify squarely fits this description as its social loyalty platform helps create a symbiotic relationship between brands and their customers which drives deeper relationships, greater loyalty, and in turn maximizes customer lifetime value.
As Gartner reports, social marketers are looking for new ways to keep their customers talking, and to leverage audiences they’ve spent years building. Chirpify does this for brands by creating a currency exchange on social media in which people are rewarded for interacting with a brand. While the reward may be in the form of loyalty program points, content, product samples, swag or more, the end goal is a marketing conversion mapped to specific business outcomes. In the process Chirpify helps brands increase customer acquisition, gather social IDs that can be linked to CRM data, and increase organic engagement–all while enhancing loyalty and social proof among people’s social networks.
Chirpify works with brands like Marriott and Avocados from Mexico to achieve these aims. For example, Avocados from Mexico recently worked with Chirpify on its SXSW #GuacNRoll campaign in which the cooperative used Chirpify to engage and convert consumers who interacted with the social trigger #GuacNRoll. In the background Chirpify was listening, applied rules from its rules engine and automatically responded to the consumer. In this case, fans who tweeted with the hashtag were entered into a contest and thanked with a recipe, which could be found at a special GuacNMusic landing site where they could get additional recipes and learn more about the contest. #GuacNRoll was the most popular hashtag at SXSW, with more than 32,000 posts and 200 million impressions, nearly triple the second place, according to Entrepreneur magazine.
