Tim McGraw’s album sold out in less than 24 hours. He did it by selling directly in-stream on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. This speaks to the power of in-stream social commerce leveraging superfans that have liked a Facebook page or followed a Twitter or Instagram account. These fans are the ideal audience that an artist or brand should reward with special access, limited items, discounts, and in-stream one comment purchasing convenience. This was also the first time commerce has been enabled directly in the Facebook news-feed.
